Built-in Wall Case
Built-in cases are typically installed in gallery walls and are shallow in depth. Textiles, flat art and small to medium objects are all safely and attractively displayed in this type of case. We offer several proprietary glass door system options. They may be hinged left, right, at the top or any combination as desired. Top opening has the advantage allowing the use of a single panel of glass on even the largest cases eliminating a center seal for an unobstructed view. Top opening also allows access from both sides without the door interfering. Left or right hinging opens to 90° while top hinged doors open to 80°. Gas assist lifters allow one person to open and close the case. All glass doors feature one piece welded aluminum frames for strength. Doors have concealed hinges and lock with high security locks. Cases have separate access to canopy lighting and desiccant chambers. The deck, back, and side panels are removable and can be provided in various archival materials and finishes. Case frames are extruded aluminum, which is assembled or welded and is also offered in variety of finishes.
