OUR SERVICES

CONSULTING

In a number of circumstances, we have clients who need help in designing casework to meet a specific need. Perhaps it’s an unusual artifact with special requirements for mounting or access, or a location in the building with atypical architecture. Our experienced staff is ready to lend their expertise to help you come up with a solution that overcomes these challenges. We’ll be glad to provide a proposal to consult on design. Contact us to discuss your situation.

DESIGN/ENGINEERING

A successful project starts with thorough planning. We take your concept and carefully detail how a quality end product will be accomplished. This is communicated though detailed fabrication drawings prepared using Vectorworks software. Drawing sets, with accompanying specifications, are submitted for approval before a tool is picked up. Every product is engineered to be attractive, durable, and artifact safe.

FABRICATION

Made in the U.S.A. We make every exhibit case in our 14,000 sq. ft. facility in Addison, Illinois. Within this facility are fully equipped cabinet shop, metal shop, finishing shop, and graphics production area. Our fabrication capacities include the ability to fashion high-end cabinetry using wood, laminates, veneers, acrylic and a range of other materials. Precision machinery in our metal shop includes welding, cutting, and milling capabilities. We have long standing relationships with acrylic and glass fabricators vetted to ensure they supply materials that meet our rigorous standards. Our staff is knowledgeable and has extensive experience working with conservation grade materials so our cases meet or exceed standards set by the National Archives, National Park Service, and leading museums.

INSTALLATION

We take pride in our products and want to make sure they look as good in their final location as when they left our shop. Each component is meticulously inspected before being carefully packed for shipment to its final destination. Final installation is done by the same craftsmen that fabricated the cases. In circumstances where our client has the expertise and staff we will ship the completed project ready to install with detailed instructions. And we are available by phone or email to provide guidance or answer questions during installation or down the road.
